Some sets almost never produce a perfect score. Out of 75 Pokémon Base Set cards and 88 Topps Baseball cards graded on TCGAI.PRO, not one scored a 10. At the other end, more than half of the cards from two One Piece sets did. If you grade the first group blind, you are likely paying for grades you will not get. Here is the data, from every card graded on TCGAI.PRO between December 2025 and October 2026.
Sets with the lowest share of perfect 10s
Sets with at least 30 graded cards, sorted by the share that scored exactly 10.
| Set | Game | Cards | Scored 10 | Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Topps Baseball | Sports | 88 | 0% | 5.55 |
| Base Set | Pokémon | 75 | 0% | 6.32 |
| Perfect Order | Pokémon | 37 | 2.7% | 8.64 |
| Topps | Sports | 201 | 4.5% | 6.23 |
| Ascended Heroes | Pokémon | 82 | 4.9% | 8.41 |
| Jungle | Pokémon | 30 | 6.7% | 7.03 |
| Celebrations | Pokémon | 30 | 6.7% | 8.78 |
| Donruss | Sports | 72 | 8.3% | 7.83 |
| Mega Dream EX | Pokémon | 46 | 8.7% | 8.65 |
| Crown Zenith | Pokémon | 57 | 8.8% | 9.09 |
Two kinds of set show up here. Vintage sets (Base Set and Jungle, both from 1999) have decades of handling behind them, and their averages sit around 6 to 7. The others, such as Crown Zenith or Ascended Heroes, average well above 8 but rarely reach a perfect 10: the cards are clean, yet small flaws stop them one step short. That second group is the real trap, because the cards look gradable.
The flip side: sets where 10s are common

| Carrying on His Will | One Piece | 48 | 43.8% | 9.18 |
| Select | Sports | 31 | 41.9% | 9.02 |

How to use this
- Vintage: pre-grade first, always. With a 0% perfect-10 rate, even clean-looking copies usually land between 6 and 9.
- Don't assume modern means mint. Crown Zenith averages above 9, yet fewer than one card in ten scored a 10.
- Check before you submit. Run a free AI pre-grade and look at which sub-grade holds the card back.

About this data
Every card graded on TCGAI.PRO (web and Android app) from December 20, 2025 to October 22, 2026, excluding test gradings; extracted October 23, 2026. Only sets with at least 30 graded cards are listed. Spellings of the same set were merged (the two 151 entries, the variants of The Azure Sea's Seven), and each set counts all its cards whatever game label the identification gave them; sets that differ by year or product line are kept separate. Cards graded before October 21, 2026 used the previous version of our grading pipeline. Collectors choose what to scan, so these figures describe the cards people pre-grade, not every card ever printed. The TCGAI Score is an AI estimate, not an official grade, and TCGAI.PRO is not affiliated with any grading company.
Every set with at least 30 graded cards has its own page with the full numbers and its top public certificates: grading data by set.
