Collector notes
Condition. Check for holofoil scratching and clouding on the Venusaur image, centering issues common in Base Set 2 prints, edge wear from binders, surface scratches on the text box, and print lines or centering defects.
Storage. Store in penny sleeves and semi-rigid top loaders, keep in cool dry place away from sunlight to prevent holo fading, use BCW card savers for graded slabs.
Authenticity. Verify Wizards of the Coast copyright line and black star symbol at bottom, check holo pattern consistency against known fakes from China, use blacklight for shadowless/unlimited distinction, professional grading recommended for high value.
