Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur is the Grass/Poison-type Grass Starter Pokémon from Generation I, known as the first Pokémon in the Pokédex (#001). It carries a seed on its back that grows with age, symbolizing growth and nature, and is one of the iconic original starters alongside Charmander and Squirtle, central to Pokémon lore since 1996.

First released in the Japanese Scarlet & Violet: 151 set (SV2a) in June 2023.

Storage. Use semi-rigid top loaders with sleeves, store in cool, dry environment away from sunlight to prevent fading on vibrant artwork; avoid stacking without dividers.

Authenticity. Verify Japanese text and SV2a set markings, check holo pattern consistency, use blacklight for foil authenticity; fakes often have blurry art or incorrect font weights; cross-reference with official scans.
